Great bike but needs some reinforcment

Pros:
Versatile, Great value, Lightweight
Cons:
Cheap wheels
Best Uses:
Solid Trail Riding, Great Fitness Bike
First off it's a great value. You won't find a better bike in this price range. After years of being away from mountain biking due to breaking my ankle riding I came back and this was the bike I chose to do it with. I am pretty satisfied with the bike but I am a heavier rider(235 lbs). If you are a heavier rider I would recommend getting new double wall wheels right off the bat as well as a decent set of alloy pedals. I've had my trail 5 for about 2 weeks and have already had to replace the wheels and pedals. The wheels will bend if they are put under a decent side load and the pedals are cheap plastic so they break pretty easy. Other than those 2 issues I love the bike and would have given it 5 stars if I hadn't had those problems. The lock out is what makes this bike a great fitness bike. It adds to the versatility. It does great on the road as well as some pretty heavy trails.

tough bike

Pros:
High quality build, Smooth Ride, Comfortable, Handles Well, Durable, Nimble, Great Components
Cons:
Best Uses:
Single Track, Fire roads, Free Riding, Casual Trails
I've had this bike around three months now, I've only logged a little over 200 miles total due to spending time with kids but rides such as China Camp and Camp Tamarancho in San Rafael have proven this bike is awesome!! It's light, nimble, shifts on the fly and handles great, just point it in the direction you want to go and that's it, I love this bike. This was a gift for myself, I had a mongoose for 16 years prior to this and talk about night and day! I highly recommend this bike to anyone, I always get compliments when my bike is resting next to me after a quick ride around my area. A great deal

a class of its own

Pros:
Versatile, Handles Well
Cons:
Heavy
Best Uses:
Casual Trails, Single Track
Great bike for riding casual trails and singletrack. Could be fitted with a bigger(120mm) fork. Not bad with drops and jumps either.
