Description
Giant's Revel 2 is ideal for running errands, pedaling to work, and getting some fun exercise while enjoying the scenery. Its Giant aluminum frame and lightweight 26-inch wheels are easy to get up to speed. Leading the way is a 63mm-travel suspension fork to smooth any bumps in your path. You'll also appreciate the traction that Kenda tires provide, the Shimano 21-speed drivetrain that helps out on the hills, the powerful linear-pull brakes that are easy to use, and the comfortable seat that's a joy no matter where your journey takes you.

Cons:
The wimpy handlebar grips, The stock seat
Best Uses:

I got this bike to replace a Wally World bike, I wanted something with better components, better frame and...well lets face it, something I could be proud of, well in my week and 1 day of ownership, I have put over 300 miles on this baby, Time for a tune up?
I get people asking me about it everywhere I go, it looks sharp and rides smooth, I did replace the seat and handlebars grips, but doesn't every bike need those replaced to tailor it to the rider?
it is slightly heavier than my friends Trek 4300, but not by much...
get it you wont regret it

Great Buy
Pros:
Handles Well, Rugged, Upgradable, Lightweight, Versatile, Smooth Ride, Great Components
Cons:
Poor Mud Shed ties
Best Uses:
Casual Trails, Cross Country, Mountain Bike Trails
Great bike. I got the Revel 2 instead of the boulder for two reasons: it's upgradable to disc brakes and the aluminum (vs steel) frame.I use it on some pretty aggressive trails in [...]. The stock tires do well on steep inclines w/ packed clay, but they fill quickly and shed slowly whenever I pass through mudd. The shifters are placed comfortably and can be accessed by either thumb when shifting up or down. The large wheels give me confidence when crossing rocky ditches or shallow run-off streams. Overall great buy.

I bought this bike on closeout for use this winter in Cleveland Ohio. Bought it this week and have already logged over 100 miles on it. Very easy pedaling, great handling and smooth shifting. I normally log 100 to 150 miles a week on my hybrid and got this Giant Revel 2 for rainy days and winter. Tried it in the rain and it handled very well. Can't wait to try it in the snow. Will change to studded snow tires for that.

Cons:

I bought this bike hoping it would be the inspiration I needed to get back in shape. 25 lbs later I can say it has definitely accomplished this goal! One of my favorite things about this bike is how upgradeable it is. Although it doesn't come with disc brakes or anything like that, you do have the option to add them later if your riding becomes frequent enough to merit them. After 620 miles in 2 months the chain has popped off ONCE while mountain biking (15 second repair) and that is the only hiccup I have encountered. This is the perfect bike for anyone starting out or getting back into biking. LOVE THIS BIKE!
My first ride out with this new Revel was just a few weeks ago in San Felsaco State Park where it is bumpy and rugged. My Revel went on a 17.22 mile ride without stopping once. The following night hit the same trails for 11 more miles....I love the bike and believe I made a wise decision. Since then I've added 40 more miles and have had one front flat tire. You should replace tubes with better rubber anyway.
Took this bike out for the first time and it was quite fun. Went over the big rocks, down the drops, up the climbs, and across the streams with relative ease. Only drawback was the seat kept angling up after hard bumps, even after a re-adjustment and serious tightening of the seat bolt. But overall this bike was fun and I'm glad I got it.

I just purchased this bike a few weeks ago, and am very impressed.. once i flipped the handlebar attachment to lower them it was a perfect fit. no complaints at all. I like the trail capability, but rid alot of street and paths on my 5 mile commute. The Kenda small eights are the perfect tire for this.. good grip when needed, and very little drag.

Excellent Choice
Pros:
Great Components, Handles Well, Versatile, Smooth Ride, Lightweight, Rugged
Cons:
Best Uses:
Casual Trails, Free Riding
I just bought this bike and am VERY happy with not only its performance bu versatility. It can hit the trails and ride the streets (I mostly do street for for cardio). It's a "heavy" enough ride so you feel like your getting a workout but adjustable enough to back off (or increase) what you're riding on.
Awesome bike for a workout!

A very good bicycle
Pros:
Handles Well, Great Components, Versatile, Smooth Ride, Lightweight, Sexy
Cons:
Best Uses:
Downhill, Casual Trails, Free Riding, Fitness
this is a very hot bike, it is very much worth the money, i use this bike to maintain my 6-pack and it gives a great workout. but the tires can grind away so you have to be careful about yanking on the brakes too hard.
