I bought one for a winter bike. Chromoly frame, single speed, upright position all seemed good. I replaced the pedals right away, for better grip and stability. I then replaced the bar grips as the stock ones were pretty poor. I had several spokes break before I went with a new rear wheel (the stock ones aren't very strong and are single-walled, I plan to replace the front one soon too). The saddle wasn't great, either, so that needed an upgrade. The gear ratio is great for light tires in summer, but I had the cog changed to a 20t for more low end in winter. Now, I am happy with the bike, but considering the money and effort of all the upgrades, I likely would have been better served with a bike that came better spec'd in the fist place. It is a nice ride, and for the money a fair bike for casual use. That said, for the price of a few more bus passes or tanks of gas a much better bike can be had. I'd recommend it to a friend only if the were using it lightly, and not commuting or using it as regular transportation.

Aside from a $3 freewheel that needs to be replaced with a [$] freewheel, this bike rules. It feels faster than it should, more comfortable than I need and just super understated and sexy. Put a Brooks saddle and some good pedals on it and you've got a lifer for under [$] Sweet.

I love this bike!
It's a perfect cross between cruiser and roadbike. It's really comfortable and rides really well. It's just perfect. Couldn't ask for a better bike for the price.
