Description

A) Micro Dial - A ratcheting dial that’s simply twisted to tighten and loosen the fit.
B) Three-Position Vertical Fit - Lets you raise and lower the Roc Loc system to the perfect position.
C) Ergonomic Arms - Minimal shape fits comfortably and accommodates eyewear.
D) Dual Pods – Supportive, minimal panels that cradle your head for the utmost in comfort and safety.

Started racing in the early 70's, have been cycling for 40+ years, often in hot conditions. This helmet is lightweight, cool and best of all, it covers my head a bit more than comparably priced helmets. Probably the best fitting helmet I've ever tried on, which is a big deal as I owned a bike shop for 13 years, and then was on the road with a bike company for 3 years afterwards. Expensive, but I would buy another one if I had to.

This helmet I would recommend for experienced competitive cyclists. The Roc Loc fit is too complicated. Instead of using 1 hand, you might have to use both hands while adjusting it. Making yourself vulnerable to a accident. The helmet is fantastic, I love the carbon fiber reinforcement. And it is sleek. Don't forget that Lance Armstrong and the Discovery Ch. Team wore the Atmos before the Ionos.

Despite the praise for the Giro Atmos, I'm not very satisfied with this helmet. Though the size adjustment is very clean and effective, it uses the forehead as a pressure point, forming visible dents when the helmet is removed. This also contributes to less comfort the longer the use.

This helmet makes me feel like I'm not wearing one. With its amazing ventilation and light weight desighn. The ROC LOC fit system provides a personal snug fit that I have never expereinced from any other helmet.

I've used Giro helmets for many years and I think they are the best.
